Nelson Carreira

Nelson joined CDW in 2018 as a healthcare centric Enterprise Architect serving various healthcare institutions throughout the Northeast and has been a technology leader in this vertical for over 22 years. He now serves CDWs Healthcare customers as a dedicated Executive Healthcare Strategist. Coming from the healthcare space as a customer and lead technology officer, he has extensive project management experience and delivery skills. This includes the implementation of a Meditech electric health records system, while designing the architectural and security controls supporting this ecosystem. His skillset and experience include the ability to deliver well balanced security initiatives, deployment strategies, risk management strategies, and business operations within healthcare.

Technically he has a strong background in multi-tiered environments with expertise in cyber security, major hypervisors, major cloud providers, operating systems, database environments, enterprise hardware and software. Specialties include—identity and access management, cyber security management, enterprise architecture, systems integration, and administration. Nelson holds multiple certifications in security and infrastructure including a CISSP certification.
